🌲 Into the Wild: Marc Heads North at Kerrs

Marc is off Highway 101 and heading north towards Red Point, the most northerly point of FCM’s Kerrs claims. This is remote Ontario exploration at its most challenging - thick forest, boggy patches and dense overgrowth all stand between Marc and the historic drill area. Drilling took place here around 15 years ago, so finding the original drill lines won’t be easy. But that’s exactly what field exploration is about: getting out there, following the evidence and seeing what can be uncovered.

📍 Welcome to Kerrs

Marc has now made it to the Kerrs Resource Area, arriving at roughly the centre of the existing resource grid.

The first task? Finding the historic drill collars - but so far, they’re proving difficult to locate beneath the thick Ontario vegetation. The dense canopy is also making it tricky to get the drone up for some aerial footage, but Marc will keep trying! It may be challenging terrain, but there’s plenty of satisfaction in finally reaching the heart of the Kerrs Resource Area and seeing the ground for himself.

⛏️ A Kerrs Discovery in the Field!

Marc has located a Kerrs drill hole and is now taking a closer look at the drill collar casing. Another great find out in the field - and an excellent reminder that he's right in the heart of the Kerrs Resource Area. Needless to say, Marc is pretty chuffed! 👏 The exploration continues…

Marc has taken a closer look at the drill collar casing, but there are no visible markings to identify the hole. However, there’s no doubt that it’s a Kerrs drill hole - and importantly, Marc is now right in the middle of the Kerrs Resource Area. Another useful field discovery as the exploration continues. 👏

🗺️ The Road Ends at Red Point

This is the route Marc has taken through the Kerrs claim block - and he’s now reached the end of the road at Red Point, on the northern flank of the claim block. A remote part of the Kerrs property, but Marc has made it!
