UK Listed Junior Mining Company | Gold & Metal Exploration

It’s been a little while since I last shared an update through this blog, but not for lack of activity. In fact, the past few months have been some of the most defining in First Class Metals’ journey as a gold exploration company.

The well-publicised issues surrounding the Seventy Ninth Group created uncertainty and distraction. But in the exploration space, short-term challenges often mask the longer-term potential. Our focus has remained on progressing our projects systematically and responsibly.

As the summer exploration season begins, the Company is operationally well-positioned to advance its Ontario gold projects, which sit within one of the world’s most established and mining-friendly jurisdictions.

Progress Behind the Scenes, Growing Industry Interest

Despite the external noise, interest in our Canadian portfolio has continued to grow. That recently culminated in the signing of a Letter of Intent (LOI) for one of our properties,  a positive development that reflects external recognition of the underlying quality of our assets and technical approach.

At the centre of our portfolio are two flagship gold exploration projects , Sunbeam and North Hemlo,  both located in Ontario. These projects form the foundation of our exploration strategy and are attracting attention from those following the junior mining and gold exploration sector.

Sunbeam — Historic High-Grade Gold with Modern Exploration Potential

The Sunbeam Project, located in Ontario’s historic gold mining region, combines known high-grade historic production with significant underexplored ground, offering modern discovery potential.

✔ Historic high-grade gold production, from the Sunbeam Mine and an unknown amount of production from Roy & Pettigrew. 
 ✔ Multiple, parallel, underexplored structures within Archean greenstone geology — globally recognised for hosting major gold deposits
 ✔ Excellent access, infrastructure, and a supportive operating environment in Ontario
 ✔ Significant untested ground providing scope for systematic, modern exploration
 ✔ Strategic location near Agnico Eagle's Hammond Reef Project, one of the largest undeveloped gold resources in north-western Ontario

Proximity to Hammond Reef adds further context to the district-scale opportunity at Sunbeam, highlighting the region's growing focus for larger operators and investors alike.

Initial technical work suggests that Sunbeam exhibits the characteristics of a broader, potentially underexplored gold system. With the field season now underway, Sunbeam remains a core focus for First Class Metals.

North Hemlo — Strategic Land Position in a Proven Gold Belt

Our North Hemlo Project, located along the North Limb of the Hemlo Greenstone Belt, provides significant exploration potential within one of Canada’s most prolific gold regions.

✔ A substantial, contiguous land package within a well-established gold district
 ✔ Direct proximity to Barrick Gold, following their recent acquisition of ground adjacent to our properties
 ✔ Early-stage exploration results, including multiple priority targets identified through grab-samples, channel samples,  soil sampling and geophysics
 ✔ District-scale potential within a tightly held, highly prospective area, close to Barrick Gold's iconic Hemlo Gold Mine (23m Oz Au production to date).

Barrick's recent activity along the North Limb underscores the increasing focus on this area as an emerging area for gold exploration. Together with our other ‘North Limb’  Esa and Magical properties, North Hemlo provides First Class Metals with a dominant strategic footprint in this highly prospective region.

Exploration Season Underway, Led by Experienced Team

The summer field season is a key period for First Class Metals’ Ontario exploration programme. Our CEO and Technical Lead, Marc Sale, is currently on site in Canada, directly overseeing preparations and operational activity.

Marc’s extensive proven discovery experience, coupled with a data-driven, systematic approach, provides confidence that the exploration work underway is well-targeted and efficient.

We also expect to report final results from our Winter and Spring VLF geophysical surveys shortly. These results will play an important role in refining our targeting as we advance exploration at both Sunbeam and North Hemlo.
